Hi!

If you're visiting this page, it means that I decided you'd appreciate the talents
I have to offer IN SPITE OF the obvious absence of any flair for web design!

No Flash animation... No Java scripts....heck, I can barely handle text and links, but it works!

What I offer here in my humble li'l corner of cyber-space is a selection of voice demos and scripts,

VOICE STUFF

I've had a lot of fun working out of the Richmond, Virginia area,
doing my best to fill that niche which might best be described as "character work"-- you know,
goofy voices, accents, dialects, impressions, and so on.
(Not that I've got anything against doing a straight announcer read!)

TEACHING:

When I'm not too busy with my own writing, I take great pleasure in working with other writers,
whether young or old, established or just starting. As you may have noticed on my bio page,
there are a few thousand hours of contact time with students of dramatic writing.

Those hours include 17 years teaching for The Johns Hopkins University's IAAY program
and 15 years as a member of the Virginia Commission for the Arts' Artists Roster,
leading a wide range of residencies in schools all over Virginia,
working with students grade 6 through 12.
I've also taught undergraduate courses and elder hostel courses.
If you think you're in the market for someone to run a writers' workshop for playwrights,
or simply to teach a course in the mechanics of dramatic writing,

Obviously, the point of this whole exercise isn't to showcase my wretched lack of web-design-savvy;
rather, it's my hope that access to my material will leave you convinced that I'm the writer to do whatever
job you've got looming-- you know, the one with the small budget and the deadline that just elapsed yesterday?
I'm fond of the quote by A.J. Liebling, who said "I can write better than anyone who can write faster,
and I can write faster than anyone who can write better." I'm pretty sure Mr. Leibling has passed on,
so I'd like to adopt that claim my own, and offer my services to you.
